Alter is a graffiti writer from Sydney. If you were catching trains around the early 2000's then no doubt you would have seen him up. Repping well known crews GF aka 76 & KOS and geting up by any means necessary! Scratchies, insides, bombing, pieces, panels he has done it all. We caught up with this prolific bomber for a quick chat and to ask for his favourite 5 flicks.

    1. What got you into graffiti?

Seeing pieces being done right next to my primary school. I had a tag and a crew in year 5 at school, we didn't do much bar tags under a few bridges and some alleyways but hey, we did it. Got back into it again in high school and way more heavily after school because there was no more art classes.

    2. How would you describe your style?

My style is Western Sydney, a bit of everything. Public and in your face.

    3. Which do you prefer Piecing or bombing and why?

Bombing. Bombing for me is the ultimate rush, alone or with crew, nothing beats it, I find it is both exhilarating and calming at the same time.

    4. Do you have a good chase story?

Too many to tell! But a close one was myself and 2 crew doing some Parramatta Rd evening action that very quickly turned into a close encounter sprint with 2 undercovers.

We got a small lead after jumping 4 sets of fences and quickly hopped into some bushes in a front yard. Boom! The front light comes on and within a few minutes the ungees are in the front yard chatting with the home owners! All about 2 meters away from us 3 huddled in a bush.

I'm surprised they didn't notice us, my heart was thumping so loud it was nearly coming out of my chest! Anyway after a few minutes they all left and went back inside, we waited a bit and crept back to the ride which luckily enough was just near by. High 5's for days.

    5. What motivates you to keep painting?

My mates motivate me to paint, but my addiction won't let me stop marking shit. I am a motion bomber and can't stop at least scratching a mirror or something. Please help.
